Sr. Architectural Designer/ Design Associate
Born and raised on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia, I moved to California in 2003 to continue my educational journey. After studying numbers and French, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA and ventured off into their International Business Program as well as studied Chinese. Later, having realized that my creative nature wanted expression, I enrolled in Interior Design courses, which led me to receive my Master of Interior Architecture degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 2014. LMID became part of my journey in 2011 when I started capturing all the creative ideas floating in our office in models and renderings. I find it very enjoyable and therapeutic to hand sketch fabric, rug and furniture designs as part of my contribution to the LMID growth.
Interior Designer/Sr. Project Manager
I was born and raised in Los Angeles where my passion for architecture and interiors started to bloom early on. As a little girl, I thought that all my unnecessary room changes and love for home decor stores was a silly dream. I have always been very hands-on, whether it be a DIY project or working with my dad on small construction projects. I further developed my natural talents while attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, which allowed my endless creativity to flourish while obtaining my Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design. I found a home with LMID in 2013 and was challenged in ways I never knew. Since then I have never looked back. I still hope to further my passion and keep learning the many facets that being an Interior Designer has to offer.
Interior Design is a career that I have had a passion for since I was a child. I started off at LMID as an intern and since transitioned to the position of Office Assistant. While in school, I took advanced Environmental Design courses and competed in two Design Charrette competitions at the local college and placed first in both. I also received The Golden Shield Award in Environmental Design for excellence. From the minute I started at LMID I knew a future in design is what I would devote myself to. I look forward to working with the team while pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and fulfilling my dream to become an Interior Designer.
MAUREEN DUBON MEJIA
DIRECTOR of Operations/ Design Associate
Living in Los Angeles, I was very fortunate to be surrounded by great artists and creatives growing up. As a teenager I was very involved in the arts and leadership, studying Ceramics, Animation and being involved in various clubs. While in college, I pursued a BFA in Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in Design & Painting. I then went on to work in the Interior Design industry while earning my Certificate of Interior Architecture at UCLA Extension. In 2011, I began working at LMID and naturally grew into the role of Director of Operations, which suitably combines my love for design as well as my strengths as a leader and problem solver. I have also recently completed a Certificate in Small Business Management at UCLA Extension. I live in the beautiful San Fernando Valley with my husband and in our spare time can be found volunteering with local youth or hiking in the Verdugo Mountains.
Interior Designer/Project Manager
As a child, I always sought to be different and often said, “I want to be an Interior Designer” while the other girls wanted to be fashion designers. My desire to stick out from the crowd grew into a love for Interior Design and Architecture. This led me to obtaining my B.S. in Interior Design from Cal State Northridge, where I held various leadership positions in student government and achieved academic honors. I’m happy to have joined LMID in 2015, where I can follow my passion and continue to learn and grow as a designer, all while contributing to an amazing team.
Interior Designer/ Project Manager
Originally hailing from Colorado, I moved to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Psychology. Knowing that I didn’t want to be a therapist, I fell back to my first love, Interior Design. Since I was a child I always had a passion for design. My parents can attest to that since I made them change my bedroom several times over the years, and also re-designed our basement. Upon arrival in LA, I immediately enrolled in the UCLA Extension Interior Design Certificate program, and received my certificate in 2013. Being able to pursue my design career in such a vibrant city is truly a dream of mine. Growing up in beautiful Colorado fueled my love of nature, and all it can inspire. And the beauty of California continues to do so on a daily basis. I have been working in high-end residential design since 2013 and joined the LMID family in 2016. I have a passion for all things hand-made and crafted, and in my spare time you can often find me at local flea markets and craft fairs.
Office Assistant/Facilities Management
I am a happy wife of 25 years and mother of 3 amazing children. My hobbies include cooking and running alongside my husband and youngest son who is a part of his school's cross country and track team. Whenever I am not on the sidelines cheering on my boy, I am running races every chance I get. I have completed multiple 10ks and two half marathons. I have had the pleasure of working for LMID for 15 years now. I am ecstatic about the company’s success thus far and am grateful to take part in this journey as a member of the LMID team.
