SR. ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER/ Project manager
Born and raised in Kamchatka Russia, I moved to California in 2003 to continue my education. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA, I ventured into their International Business Program as well as studied Chinese. Later, realizing that my creative nature wanted expression, I enrolled in Interior Design courses, which led me to receive my Master of Interior Architecture degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 2014. I joined LMID in 2011 when I began translating all the creative ideas in our office into models and renderings.
MAUREEN DUBON MEJIA
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Living in Los Angeles, I was very fortunate to be surrounded by great artists and creatives growing up. As a teenager I was very involved in the arts and leadership, studying Ceramics, Animation and leading various clubs. In college, I pursued a BFA in Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, with an emphasis in Design & Painting. I then worked in the Interior Design industry while earning a Certificate of Interior Architecture at UCLA Extension. In 2011, I joined LMID and naturally grew into the role of Director of Operations, which suitably combines my love for design as well as my strengths as a leader and problem solver. I also received a Certificate in Small Business Management at UCLA Extension in 2016. I live in the San Fernando Valley with my husband and in our spare time can be found volunteering with local youth or hiking in the Verdugo Mountains.
I am a happy wife of 25 years and mother of 3 amazing children. My hobbies include cooking and running alongside my husband and youngest son who is a part of his school's cross country and track team. Whenever I am not on the sidelines cheering on my boy, I am running races every chance I get. I have completed multiple 10ks and two half marathons. I have had the pleasure of working for LMID for 15 years now. I am ecstatic about the company’s success thus far and am grateful to take part in this journey as a member of the LMID team.
INTERIOR DESIGNER/ SR. PROJECT MANAGER
I was born and raised in Los Angeles where my passion for architecture and interiors bloomed early on. As a little girl, I constantly changed my room and loved home decor stores. I have always been very hands-on, whether it be a DIY project or working with my dad on small construction projects. I further developed my talents while attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, earning an Associate of Arts degree in Interior Design. I found a home with LMID in 2013 and was challenged in ways I never knew. Since then I have never looked back and continue to further my passion and keep learning the many facets that being an Interior Designer has to offer.
INTERIOR DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER
As a child, I always sought to be different and often said, “I want to be an Interior Designer” while the other girls wanted to be fashion designers. My desire to stick out from the crowd grew into a love for Interior Design and Architecture. This led me to obtaining my B.S. in Interior Design from Cal State Northridge, where I held various leadership positions in student government and achieved academic honors. I’m happy to have joined LMID in 2015, where I can follow my passion and continue to learn and grow as a designer, all while contributing to an amazing team.
INTERIOR DESIGN ASSISTANT
Growing up I enjoyed being surrounded by creative individuals, as a result I decided to enroll in The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles' Interior Design program and received my Bachelors of Science degree. In college, I achieved academics Honors and was awarded “Best of Quarter”. I recently developed new trade skills as a construction worker and value their hard work and dedication. I also enjoy photography, I find it relaxing being outdoors capturing the art of nature and the “in the moment” images. I am excited about the personal and professional growth I am experiencing as part of the LMID family and am glad to be part of this talented team.
INTERIOR DESIGNER/ PROJECT MANAGER
Originally from Colorado, I moved to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Psychology. Knowing that I didn’t want to be a therapist, I fell back to my first love, Interior Design. My parents can attest to me always having a passion for design as I made them change my bedroom several times over the years, and also re-designed our basement. Upon arrival in LA, I immediately enrolled in the UCLA Extension Interior Design Certificate program, and received my certificate in 2013. Being able to pursue my design career in such a vibrant city is truly a dream of mine. I have been working in high-end residential design since 2013 and joined the LMID family in 2016. I have a passion for all things hand-made and crafted, and in my spare time you can often find me at local flea markets and craft fairs.
